When to Seek a Repair
If a denture breaks or chips, it's crucial to have it repaired immediately to avoid further damage or discomfort.
If the fit becomes uncomfortable, especially if dentures are slipping, rubbing, or causing irritation, a repair or reline may be necessary.
If there’s damage to the teeth or base, such as broken or loose teeth or a cracked base, these issues should be addressed promptly to avoid functional or cosmetic problems.
Home Repair VS Professional Repair
Home repair
While some people may attempt DIY repairs with over-the-counter dental repair kits, or super glue these are often not recommended. They can lead to improper fit, further damage, and potential harm to your oral health. They can even render your denture unrepairable!
